F12198 00- REPAIR KIT - VALVE BRUSHES - BULB This repair kit is the full kit, it contains everything needed to repair the safety valve. The brushes have been replaced with stainless steel brushes, and the bulb socket has been replaced with an LED socket

This is a NEW Vulcan F12198-00- safety valve, manufactured by Base Control. It is designed to fit Vulcan gas grills model F304, F422 and F490. This is not an OEM part, it is manufactured in India. To ensure you are ordering the correct part for your grill you can reference a pic of the F12198-00 next to the old part where it fits on your grill.

Offers relief from pressure that exceeds the design pressure. A safety valve is installed in the liquid line, normally at a boiler outlet or a vessel bottom outlet. It protects the system against loss of system pressure or steam explosion due to the increased pressure in the system. It should be noted that safety valves do not operate to relieve low (less than working) pressure, but will operate only when the increasing pressure reaches its setting by either heating or expansion.

The F12198 Safety Valve is a replacement part for the Vulcan Parts D1300 and D1350 hot water heaters. This safety valve has built-in pressure relief that activates just under 4 PSI at 120F and 5 PSI at 140F. It includes a 1/2 to 3/4 inch female nipple. 2 REQUIRED.

The Vulcan F12198 00- Safety Valve protects your hot water heater from the dangers of overheating. It provides a safety valve to allow hot water to vent in case of an over pressurization on the high limit causing an overload or possible explosion.
