A screw-in cell is a replacement part for the SALT 540 PowerClean System by Bio Charge. It produces sodium hypochlorite, which is used to maintain appropriate chlorine cynders in spas or hot tubs. Replacement of these cells should be done every 6 months for optimal filtration. This cell only contains the electrolytic cell and does not include the main unit or power cord.

This salt cell converts water into "pseudo sea water" for use with the SGS Salt System. The POWERCLEAN cell contains activated carbon for use in smaller salt systems where a high volume of salt water is not necessary.

Simply replace the cell, no need to disassemble the unit. This new standard cell is designed for all SGS PowerClean Saltwater System Watermakers. PLEASE DO NOT PUT THE 115V CELL IN THE 230V UNIT!!! POWER CLEAN 115 VOLT CELL

It is the intent of this SGS 540 salt cell to be a direct replacement for the existing SGS Breeze (52000-240-110) salt cell. It will allow you to continue to utilize the established electronic controls, and operate in the same manner as before. Please note that this is simply a replacement cell, and does not include any other parts or components other than the actual cells themselves. Replacement is easy and can be accomplished by anyone with basic skills and tools.
