It requires an electrician to connect it to the electrical power source, but it is ready to use. The TB-36 is designed for surface mount applications and fits most door thicknesses up to 1-3/8", allowing you to choose from 3 different options. This device is suitable for both residential and commercial applications.

The Schlage Touchbar 36 is a 2-pole double-throw (descending power), single-pole (non-locking) with bell circuit. It will work with any type of residential or commercial door, including metal doors and is easy to install in new or existing construction. This model features a 1/2" diameter mounting hole and has a tamper resistant cover, which helps prevent accidental locking.
