This lock is the same size as a standard doorknob and can be used on all single, double and sliding doors. All Schlage locks come with a mechanical key that operates the lock, turning the exterior knob or lever. The deadbolt will not retract unless this key is inserted and turned in the cylinder. The mechanical key is also used to rekey all Schlage locks, allowing you to change the existing keys without having to replace new locking hardware.
