The F40-STA-605 is a privacy deadbolt, single cylinder, key retracting lock with Schlage Camelot Passage Cylinder featuring a Schlage Commercial grade 1 inch throw latch and Schlage Primus trim. The Classic Passage Key Retracting Locks offer an exceptional value in many applications because of their mechanical advantages over electronic locks. This lock is designed for use on wood and hollow metal doors.

The F-Series is a stylish, traditional deadbolt designed to meet the needs of different consumers. The F40-STA is ideal for use on exterior wood doors and features a privacy locking device.

Standard deadbolt functions to lock the door. When locked, the key cylinder cannot be removed from outside the door. When unlocked, the cylinder can be removed from both inside and outside of the door for repositioning or replacement in case of emergency.

The F40-STA-605 is a Schlage Residential Lock for the door. This lock is designed for installation as a surface mount entryway deadbolt on wood and hollow metal doors, excluding steel and fire rated doors. The Schlage Residential Lock is pre-bored to accept a 3/4" diameter latchbolt with the latchbolt hole pattern matching the centerline of the strike (for entryway applications)  or on 16 centers (for surface mount applications). The bolt length is 1¾".

The Schlage Residential Lock F40-STA-605 is a mortise lock constructed out of brass, giving it a weighty and metallic feel that's substantial. It has been designed to be mounted on the right side of your door and is only compatible with doors that have a 1-3/8 inch hole drilled in the edge. The lock comes equipped with ANSI Grade 3 security on its five pin cylinder, allowing you to rest easy knowing your valuables are safe and secure when you are away from home.
