The AltFloatSwitch is used to control generator operation. The float-type switch is adjustable to compensate for varying fuel levels. It may be mounted in a vertical or horizontal position using the side bushing flange. Your Price, Fast Shipping!
The Alt Float Switch automatically switches as system voltage changes to float voltage. It is used for transformer regulation, battery charge control and load maintenance in 240VAC systems. When the float voltage is reached in a step down transformer, the Alt Float Switch increases the armature contactor coil voltage to open its contacts.
The Square D 9038 mechanical alt Converts AC to low-voltage DC power for supplying circuits that require a 24 VDC power supply. Featuring an automatic voltage regulator, this unit can also be wired as a float-operated switch; when tank is full the contacts close and energize the relay.
This close-coupled mechanical float alternator is a UL Subject 2044 Compliant product. It has an aluminum cast housing, class H mounting, side bushing trim, and a copper slip-ring assembly with open, adjustable, sleeve-type wire terminations. A built-in capacitor discharge device is not included on this model. Mounting holes for the drive bracket are provided for attachment in wood or steel trussed roof structures. The 400 amp terminals have 0.250 in of expansion space and 0.187 in to 0.250 in coupler insulator spacing.
Keep the power flowing with 9038CG33/9038CG34 Square D® float switches. Designed for continuous duty, these switches give you total latching control and reset automatically to off. Operating switches from a closed position to an open position alarms or stops programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other on demand electrical controls, thereby keeping system components from running dry.
