2X2X3/4 SST TEE S40 PVC

Spears S Series Tee fittings can be used in drainage applications. They are designed for use with PVC or CPVC pipe and fittings. Spears 402-248 2X2X3/4 SST TEE S40 PVC (10/BX)

The 2x2x3/4 SST TEE is designed to meet ASTM specifications in sizes 2X2 and 2X3. The S40 is a 40 deg pipe fitting, this pipe fitting Tee is the same as the 90 deg elbow except for a 45 deg bend after the elbow part.  This fitting is used with vinyl as well as all chlorinated polymers.

This tee has a maximum pressure rating of 350 psi at 180°F between:  SOE02-S12-2X2X3/4E, SOE02-S15-2X2X3/4E, and SOE01-S12-2X2X3/4W. This part is constructed from DuraPlus S40 PVC plastic using SST technology. It has a maximum working pressure of 350psi at 180°F.

The Spears 2x2x3/4 SST Tee is used in Sanitary Drain applications to allow two inch PVC sewer and drain pipe to be connected to three inch diameter PVC or mechanical piping. The 2X2X3/4 SST Tee also connects PVC waste lines to each other. Each tee includes a Type L solvent weld adapter. All fittings are brass, except the solvent weld swivel nut which is plastic. The solvent weld swivel nut is specifically used in applications where corrosive liquids are present. This fitting should not be used where hot water is present.

Spears S40 PVC 100 PSI pipe tees are designed for use with Schedule 40 PVC pipe. They feature all standard pipe JD fits, an integral gasket on all models, and are 50% lighter than most standard mechanical-seal tees. They also resist fuel and oil better than other tees. For mortar beds and superior resistance to gasoline and DOT 3 oils, use with S35PVC end caps or mechanical seal end caps (not included).

The S40™ tee is made of Schedule 40 PVC. The threaded connections provide a watertight seal on a variety of liquid and air lines. The S40 TEE has the same outside diameter as Sch. 40 PVC pipe, and can connect directly to Sch. 40 PIPE with Schedule 40 fittings.
