NON-FRICTIONAL TAP PLUG (TAPS)
Designed to drill, tap and ream.
These high carbon steel fractional tap drills are designed for lubrication-free tapping of aluminum and other non-ferrous metals utilizing Irwin Hanson, High Carbon High Alloy Steel. Hanson taps and dies are designed to prevent thread galling or seizing while providing excellent fatigue life, reducing maintenance costs, cycle time and cost per part. The industry standard 15/16 -18 thread size has a third more threads per inch to serve as an alternative thread when maximum resistance to stripping is necessary.
