The Tec Components Shortblocks 730221A Rocker Arm Kit is designed to fit all Tecumseh engine models, including the Force 140/150/160 and Magnum 150/170-180/200/250 engines. This high quality Tecumseh replacement parts kit includes all the rocker arms, gaskets, shims and locks required to complete a service on your engine.

A rocker arm is a main internal component in your engine that helps to control the valve timing. The purpose of the rocker arm setup is to increase the speed and responsiveness of your engine.

Replacement rocker arms for TEC model 12D730-1A, with extra length of rollers and shafts to enable thicker valve stems. Also available are the corresponding intemal rocker gear (part number 730.625).

A rocker arm is an engine part that the valve train pivots on. A conventional rocker arm pivots from a fulcrum point mounted to the engine's valve chest using a "C" shaped spring, itself pivoting from the rocker shaft. This type of system was originally developed by William Stanier in 1948 for use in steam locomotives.
