The 776135 lawn tractor transaxle input shaft is designed to be used in Tecumseh and Briggs and Stratton engine to drive the mower deck. This Tecumseh and Briggs and Stratton part is a genuine OEM part.
If your lawn mower has an over-revving issue, your input shaft may be worn. Turn your mower off and place it in neutral.
Lawn tractors built over the past 20 years typically have aluminum or cast iron transaxles. Mower decks have changed over the years from a one piece cast design to one or two pieces of stamped steel. This 4-3/4" long shaft is for older style mowers that use a part frame that splines to the input shaft with two set screws. It's also for rotary style mowers.
The ShortBlocks 776135 is a replacement for Simplicity/Snapper/Husqvarna/Roper(except the TRT82) tractors using a Briggs & Stratton 4032D to 4057D engine with front PTO.
The 776135 lawn tractor lawn mower spindle shaft transfers engine power to the transmission. This part is for models with the clutch on the left side of the engine.
