OVERLOAD

The SHORTBLOCKS K90-35 is a 25% OVERLOAD KIT for a 35HP single screw compressor using Emerson TECVALVES. This is the latest OVERLOAD concept in TEC Refrigeration. There are 3 possible versions with different overload protection. All versions will operate in standard HVAC mode using 100% of the compressor capacity. They provide uniform load distribution on all valves in the unit, extending compressor life and reducing the risk of burnout.

Just as the name implies, the Overload is essential. The Overload can be used in combination with 50HP, 100HP, 140HP, or 200HP compressors to ensure a far greater level of performance than if one were to use a standard compressor without a transformer. This particular overload offers a 35% continuous duty cycle. It's perfect for those applications that require an extremely high level of durability and longevity such as, extreme commercial/industrial projects, or applications where extremely long run lengths are required.

TEC K90-35 SHORTBLOCKS OVERLOAD KIT The kit contains overload components for use with TEC model 125C and also 125D, 140C and 140D refrigeration machines. The overload is needed when the machine is being used in an altitude of 2000 ft. or above, or in an area where temperature exceeds 90°F(32°C). The overload automatically increases refrigerant charge if the machine runs continuously for 4 hours or more and maintains this increased refrigerant charge until it is switched off, even if it is under hot conditions.

The K90-35 Overload kit is installed in the primary circuits of the condensing unit. The overload kit's job is to protect the compressor, another very important component of your air conditioning system. In some cases this compressor will have a separate overload kit attached to it as well.

This is a complete overload kit which may be used on all TEC K90-35 or 15 HP systems for short term overload protection. Kit includes an 80% and 130% duty tstat, 2 block off plates, 2 block upgrade plates and 1/10 hp pump motor. If your system overloads more frequently than once every two to three years then this kit will provide you with the safeguard you need to eliminate the possibility of damage from continued operation outside of the motor's capacity.
