The Honeywell N5B is a network termination resistor designed for use with the Honeywell Compass Series Communication platforms and other Honeywell communicator products. This device terminates the wire pairs in a 10-pair network cable. It provides an IMC resistance level compatible with the G.hn developed by ANSI/TIA to allow cabling vendors to offer a single set of patchcords for wiring communications networks based on G.hn technology.

The NTP Series, network terminator resistors, are designed as integral parts of network-terminating equipment for preventing over current and potential transients due to faulty cabling systems. They consist of latching mechanisms safely locking the terminals of the integrated resistors. A power on reset circuit restores the device back to 'power-off' state. The NTP series have thru hole terminations and paper tape insulations, which are suitable for wide range of wiring system applications.

A network termination resistor, or NTR, is a device that is placed inline with an Ethernet connection, and shorts the link to the pin 7 (RD) of the RJ45 connector. This renders both sides of the link loop/point-to-point. NTRs are usually added to a wired network by a service provider or systems administrator so that they can later more easily manage and troubleshoot the network.

The 2094 series network termination devices (NTD) are designed to protect any Ethernet communication link from electrostatic discharge (ESD). The NTD incorporates an isolated ESD protection device, and a precision high-voltage transformer coupled with either a terminating resistor or an active surge suppression circuit. The Network Termination Device NTD Series is a Plug-and-play solution for connecting Ethernet and Fast Ethernet edge devices to the access and distribution layers. It's suitable for use as an intermediate device that terminates both Carrier Ethernet and Layer 1 circuits on a common twinax loop.
