Enjoy the food! The patented double-seal Thermocouple for 18" Southbend Griddles helps eliminate smoke and odor by preventing grease from coming into contact with hot surfaces. This extra-long, stainless steel thermocouple stands up to moisture, grease and rust—the same kind of stainless steel used in professional kitchens—and it's easy to clean.

The 18" thermocouple is used in the following Southbend ranges: SC-1, SC-3, SC-5, SC-6A, SB-1, SB-3, SB-5, SB-6A.

THERMOCOUPLE is a temperature measuring device which is used in conjunction with a heat source. THERMOCOUPLE measures the temperature of the surface of a heat source and transmits that information back to your kitchen control panel. A 12 foot cable connects the THERMOCOUPLE to the terminal strip under your cooktop. The wire terminates into a 20A connector.

Southbend uses our No-Weld design (no welds or gaskets to replace) in this model. This eliminates leaks for a longer lasting oven!

The THERMOCOUPLE is a calibrated device used to check the temperature of a water distribution system. If it shows an error, then you know that there is a problem in the system. While this type of thermocouple is usually used to check hot water, it can also be used for cold water service or steam service.
