The Trane® Flame Sensor is designed to detect a flame on a gas-fired heater

The first range is 225 degrees and above

The SEN1951 sensor utilizes two different temperature ranges to determine if an open flame is present

The black wire is connected to GAS VALVE POWER SUPPLY

The FLAME SENSOR is used on gas units equipped with the Flame Failure Device

The FLAME SENSOR is connected to two wires, one red and one black

This prevents gas leaks or explosions, and reduces the risk of fire

The red wire is connected to INITIALIZE and then LOAD RELAY

If this temperature range is detected, the second range kicks in, which is between 50-225 degrees
