Gas Valve 3Stg Modulating 24v
This new Trane Gas Valve 3Stg is designed to work with the HVAC system that uses natural gas. It uses modulating technology so it does not over or under deliver on your heating and cooling needs. This valve has no maintenance requirements. It does not require bi-annual maintenance or additional filters.
3Stg Modulating valve. Modulating valves allow simple control of LP/NG/Natural gas (and fuel oil) for flame and water heater applications.
The Trane 3Stg Modulating valve improves comfort and reduces your energy costs. The new 3Stg valve is compatible with all gas furnaces. You can set the desired temperature, then adjust the cooling to maximize comfort while minimizing consumption. It installs easily and offers you additional flexibility for adjusting the temperature in your home.
The Trane Gas valve is made of the highest quality materials and comes with a 5-year limited parts warranty. It uses a 3" direct-vent connector or equivalent sized PVC pipe and can be used on gas, oil, and dual fuel systems. The 24 volt valve can be used with high efficiency single stage heating systems as well as heat pumps with the proper tools, but it cannot be used with electric baseboard heaters. The valve is not compatible with security panels, two stage gas heating systems, or tank-type units.
The new Trane VAL modulating gas valve provides a single control point for managing the air/fuel ratio of combustion. The operation of the valve is based on unique patented technology which modulates the gas supply to the burner and thereby controls the envelope temperature. The valve precisely holds combustion air-to-fuel ratio independent of the firing degree, meaning it automatically compensates for variations in natural gas pressure, temperature, humidity and temperature inlet air. The result is consistently high quality heat output, lower emissions and energy consumption.
This item is an O.E.M. part and will be shipped from the factory. To find the part number in your owner's manual, please refer to the Model and Serial Number on the data plate located in the gas valve compartment of the unit.
A new terminal unit (search term: terminal units) is the most common way to upgrade to a system that uses 3rd stage gas. A terminal unit provides an economical and efficient upgrade path for replacing 2nd stage heating systems which use either natural or LP gas.
