The 24V MODULATING SPRING RETURN ACTUATOR is a multi-catalogued product that enables the Integrator to customize it for a specific application. The Johnson Controls VA-4233-GGA-2 24V Modulating Spring Return Actuator replaces the pneumatic retraction actuator in your hydraulic door, window, or curtain wall door. It is designed to work with an end pressure of 0 psi and a spring return pressure of +15 psi. The JCI VA-4233-GGA-2 is a maintenance item and should be replaced at a frequency recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

The Modulating Spring Return Actuator is a 24V electric actuator that uses a spring return mechanism to raise and lower the load applied. The speed of the up/down cycle is controlled by varying the voltage supplied to the unit via an internal potentiometer or external potentiometer (shipped standard with no potentiometer).

The Model VA-4233-GGA-2 actuator is recommended for variable air volume systems. The MODULATING SPRING RETURN ACTUATOR will provide different air flow through the system depending upon the modulating position (i.e. 0%-100%). It consists of a valve seat, poppet valve, mandrel, compression spring and a time delay switch with setting. The discharge pressure of the changeover valve must always be set higher than the compressor discharge pressure. #

The VA-4233-GGA-2 is a valve actuator designed to open and close oil discharge valves in two-way, three-way or four-way main discharging valves using modulating pad-spring return. The module is packaged in a GGA housing, but can be specially configured to meet customer requirements.
