Valves rated in Cv allow an additional fluid velocity inside the valve which may result in a pressure drop over the total system. The coefficient of velocity (Cv) is indicated on the data sheet and for 2-way valves it is usually between 7 and 10.

ERGONOMIC DESIGN: The two-way valve is designed to save space, reduce installation time and help ensure reliability. It features a solid brass body that helps resist corrosion, a large open handle for easy handling and includes an integral sweat connection. Natural elastomers used in the gasket skirt provide excellent resistance to fluids, chemicals and gases. Large diameter 2"" bore models can be ""turned under"" to provide differential pressure up to 7.5 pounds per square inch (psi).

The valve body has a 1 inch port for a direct connect with a temperature controller device. It is a two-way valve using a float to control reverse flow of liquid or gas when the controller turns off or automatically during "demand." This valve is mercury free and lead-free, safe for potable water applications.
