The BELL Xylem HFT-30 Diaphragm Expan Tank is designed to handle the high pressure, vacuum, and temperature variations of water, hot water, or steam. This cast iron tank includes a choice of cover pump designs to suit the application. The cast iron tank body is assembled with fasteners designed to reduce the risk of galling.

The tank can hold up to 30 gallons of water and is equipped with a stainless steel pressure transmitter, air regulator, diaphragm pump with filter, stainless steel tank interior, base, and lid. The HFT-30 diaphragm expand tank is a specialized piece of equipment that can be used in a variety of industries. Primarily, the HFT-30 is designed for applications where there is a need to increase or decrease the volume of feed water, whether it is municipal or waste water.

The HFT-30 is a 30 gallon (114l) diaphragm tank designed to provide expanded fluid storage with 50% more volume than our standard round side tank. This tank comes equipped with 1" threaded fill cap, 1/4" threaded discharge valve, and integrated air relief valve.

The HFT-30 electronic vacuum booster is a centrifugal type normally open venting diaphragm that incorporates integral actuation to actuate the relay coil. The relay contacts are rated at 30 amps at 120 Vac. This relay provides positive 11.5 VDC or 24 VDC to the expansion device when the diaphragm moves rapidly upward. The pump relay permits energizing of the motor starter relay, thus initiating the starting sequence. The HFT-30 also includes an internal current limiter, that will limit maximum current through the relay contacts to 30 amps for one second, and has internal diagnostic circuitry that

The Xylem- HFT Diaphragm Expansion Tank is used in domestic and some commercial hot water systems to recover thermal energy due to temperature variations. The tanks are fitted with an overpressure relief valve which vents any excess pressure in the system preventing damage to pumps, expansion vessels, etc.

The HFT-30 is a 30 gallon non-pressurized storage tank with built in 80 cfm solids filter. The reinforced liner is constructed of durable butyl. The HFT-30 is designed for direct installation under floor with the "drop-in" collar. A draft hood, which contains an integral SU motor, is located on top of the tank for accurate air pressure control. The HFT-30 can be installed on concrete slabs on grade, above grade or in sewers.
