PACKING GLAND ASSEMBLY REPLACES YBA
#1413 5/8 to 2-1/2 Thread x 2 1/2" to 6" Globe Valves. This is a pack of 2 packing gland assembly replacement for YBAs for use on the above mentioned valves and is made of a gray molded plastic material.

Packings are the heart and lungs of globe valves. Made of high quality manganese bronze, they are made to last up to 50 years. The packing gland assembly is installed on the inlet/outlet connection of the valve body with a snap ring. Most packing glands have a packing removal tool included in the kit for easy removal of old packing. Packings should be replaced every 3-5 years dependent on use, temperature and solids handling. Failure to replace packings can result in high leakage, costly downtime and premature failure of your equipment.

The new generator YBAD is designed to allow the utilization of the same packing material on 2-½" threaded or flanged globe valves. The set consists of 3 metal gaskets and one rubber packing gland.
One kit contains 10 sealing rings and one seat assembly, one sealing ring is installed on the stem seal with the face of #314 Rod facing upward, and one #514 Packing Gland Assembly is installed over the stem seal. The rod shape gland assembly is used in Globe Valves that use a straight stem-gland packing.
The kit has been designed to fit 2 1/2? up to 6? globe valves and provides the necessary sealing characteristics. The complete kit includes a pre-formed packing gland assembly, a cup and a set of three liners. The liner set consists of two liners for use with 3/4? nominal I.D. piping tubes; and one liner for use with larger tubing. The liners are supplied with an O-ring which is surface treated to provide good hydrostatic head values (recommended maximum working pressures are from 75 PSI to 225 PSI).
