With an 8-mm hole for viewing liquid levels, this York Sight Glass can be used as a replacement or as a secondary glass to view the levels of your tank.

The YL series hydraulic sight glasses are especially designed to use where reliable leak-free fluid level indication is required. These clear glass tubes are free of imperfections and feature excellent hardness, durability, chemical resistance and thermal shock resistance. An integral sight tube assembly consists of a sight tube made of clear borosilicate glass, an adaptor made of aluminum, brass or bronze, a mounting bracket, two bolts for mounting purpose and an O ring. The adaptors are fabricated to mount all ends used in various industries. All adaptors are designed with provisions to mount each tube size either vertically or horizontally.

The purpose of a sight glass is to provide a quick visual check for any fluids that may be collecting in the oil bath. The sight glass also provides an indication of when to add additional oil lubricants. The construction of this sight glass includes a clear glass tube with the glass end secured by a flanged brass cap and an internally threaded flanged zinc colored steel mounting nut. The tube measures 4" long and the flanged mounting nut measures 7/8" in length and 3/4" in diameter. This sight glass is designed to utilize 1 quart of 20W30 motor oil.

This sight glass is constructed of polycarbonate and has a clear, easy to read marking. The crosshatched surface provides maximum reflection and helps prevent fogging caused by condensation. The ergonomic handle makes it easy to move the glass around as needed. It is used as a flow control device to regulate flow of products such as chemicals or liquids. Sight glasses are available in sizes from 0-50 gallons and made from materials such as float glass, thin wall thermoplastic, thin wall thermoplastic with thin stainless steel band and stainless steel with thin stainless steel band. They can be ordered with or without dial indicators
