The YORK® SC0256J-3E is a permanent split capacitor motor that utilizes a non-overloading starting device. This non-overloading starting device utilizes a microswitch which interrupts the voltage to the start winding when the motor reaches approximately 2/3 of full load. The start winding is then separated electrically from the running winding by the contact breaker, which is spring loaded in the closed position. Application for this motor are centrifugal air pumps,circulating pumps, water pumps, blowers, compressors and general purpose loads where shock and vibration are factors.
