A Level sensor detects the refrigerant level in an automotive A/C system, automatically opening the high-pressure switch when the refrigerant level is low, preventing overheating of the evaporator core. This Level sensor for R134a 12"" is intended for use with older style compressors that use R-12 and R-134A refrigerants.
This item is a level sensor for r-134a 12"
A lubrication level sensor with specialty adaptor for use with R-134A refrigerant.
Product Description: The York Compressor Level Sensor with switch is designed for use with R-12, R-22, and R-134A refrigerant. This sensor can be installed in any position (horizontal or vertical) in the suction line. A common problem when servicing an air conditioning system that uses R-134A is improper charging due to the fact the refrigerant cannot completely fill the entire system when pressure is applied without an expansion valve installed. This occurs due to the fact refrigerant will sit above the oil in the suction line when at atmospheric pressure. A "short" in the suction line
York's level sensor is factory calibrated to ensure that the refrigerant is always within safe limits. This level sensor features a NEMA 4 junction box and a gasket for a leak free seal. It contains a magnetic valve seat and a boost pump switch, so once low charge has been detected, boost mode is automatically activated. This mode helps to create a vacuum to suck the refrigerant back into the evaporator, so you can quickly re-charge your system before it goes out again.
YORK 3-Wire Dry Type Sensor For R134A Medium Temperature Range. For use with new 134A, but may be used for retrofit or replacement on older systems if needed. This item requires a male cable connector to connect with the pressure switch wiring harness plug. Not for use with any other refrigerant.
