RHEEM Low NOX valves, or Fan Assisted Valves, are designed to limit emission of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) to meet the new regulatory standards in the Control of Nitrogen Oxide Emissions from Industrial and Commercial Combustion Sources (Title IV, Subchapter IV) proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The low NOX burner has up to 30% better combustion efficiency than the standard gas burner due to its unique, patented design. The strength of this system lies in its ability to adjust soot formation according to flame conditions and improve temperature control. This thermally efficient burner increases fuel efficiency and lowers emissions because less air is used for combustion.

The Rheem 232302 gas valve is approved for use with natural gas or propane, and offers a 1/4" (inlet) and 1/2" (outlet) connections. This single-stage manual water heater replacement valve has a horizontal design and can fit a horizontal cutout of up to 2 inches. It is also available in 3/4" and 1" configurations.
