The L170 Limit Switch is a standard manual reset limit switch used on a variety of gas furnace applications. This limit switch is a normally closed contactor that becomes open if it senses flame failure. The limit switch over-runs to a second burner stator if it senses flame failure on the first one, providing dual protection for the gas valve.
This leg is only compatible with the following models of Goodman furnaces: Models CI100A, CILA0A, CILB0A, CPIF00A, CPSH00A, CPST00A. We're sorry but this item may take an additional 1-2 business days to ship
The limit switch is designed for use with your furnace blower. Use the chart below to determine which model you have. It acts to limit heating operation of a furnace blower motor when temperature is reached by turning off current to the furnace blower or reversing the operation. Check your owners manual for proper installation, wiring and approximate location of the limit controls.
The Limit Switch fires the furnace blower when it detects that the temperature in the heat exchanger is below its setpoint. If the limit switch malfunctions, the blower will not fire.
