The Schlage 29016626 29-016 626 (382) Short Compressible Cylinder Satin Chrome Finish is for use with Schlage short throw ® deadbolt locks. It can be used on wood doors with a strike depth of 1-3/8" and steel doors with a strike depth of 2-1/4". The cylinder has all the same features as the standard long throw cylinder such as bump proof lock core, self relock feature, drill resistant pins, anti pick shield pin plate that fits into the mortise cylinder housing and a manual override keyway.

The Schlage 29016 Compressible Cylinder has a larger deadbolt hole and its cylinder is 15% shorter than the standard Schlage Short Cylinder. This style is designed specifically for those builders who are installing in a space where there is not enough clearance to accommodate the standard Schlage Short Cylinder. Deadbolts manufactured using this part will have a '29016' on the back plate. The Schlage 29016 Compressible Short Cylinder is also recognized by ANSI/BHMA A156.2.
