The RHEEM Protech Relay is a DPST relay with a trampoline coil. It is intended for use with two (2) wires to control one (1) circuit,  or three (3) wires to control two (2) two-wire circuits.

The RU relay series will operate on a maximum voltage of 460VAC or 600VDC with a coil resistance maximum of 12KOhms at 115VAC and 12KOhms at 230VDC.

The Rheem Protech relay is designed to replace the old RELAYS with the same wiring configuration. The Rheem Protech Relay is an electro magnetic switch that creates a connection between two electrical contacts when current flows through it. When no power flows through the device, the relay remains in its de-energized or open state.

With the RHEEM Protech Relay thermostat, comfort is easily within reach. Using your choice of AC or two stage heating, it automatically adjusts for temperature on either systems or heat pump systems. The smart Set and Forgot feature allows you to set the desired temperature and it will maintain the temperature day or night. The battery backup ensures uninterrupted use in case of power outage.

This is a Rheem / Protech 172581 2-function electric product relay. This product relay is for use with the following 172591 and 172665 products: tank, vertical, heat P13 and P14 models and discharge P1 models.
