The Mixed Air Flow Sensor is used in a variety of Ruud and Rheem residential/light commercial units. Its purpose is to measure the mixed air temperature within the unit as well as the return air temperature into the unit. A precision range of 0%–100% is available through the Analog Output (AO) and Thermistor output.
RHEEM 170802 -Ruud 470010 Mixed Air Flow Sensor provides accurate and reliable efficiency. Sensor is compatible for Rheem heat pump models. The sensor is guaranteed to be free of defects from the manufacturer, ensuring product consistency.
Rheem 170802 -Ruud 470010- Mixed Air Flow Sensor
The mixed air flow sensor is designed to detect both the airflow into the furnace, and also the airflow out of the furnace. A common failure of this part is that it will send an error code and will not be able to ignite your pilot, or may even shut off the gas supply to your furnace.
The mixed air flow sensor enables the furnace's blower to vary its speed in response to temperature and humidity, for more efficient and quieter operation.
The mixed air sensor allows for a residential forced air system to control the temperature of two or more different rooms simultaneously.
The Ruud 170802 - RHEEM 170802 air flow sensor is used in Ruud and Rheem heat pumps. When the part becomes cracked or broken, it cannot send the right amount of signals to the control board. This will cause a faulty recirculating of air and heating efficiency. The process will be slowed down because of this problem as it sends incorrect signals to the unit's other parts
