Think of the Baldwin 5300.EFLS as a middle child between 5300.AL and 5300.BR. A full lip strike, it sits slightly proud of the jamb but not as proud as an extended full lip strike like 5300.EL. It's also a little more discreet -- a cleaner look than the full lip strikes but still with lots of bling -- than the plain jamb-only strikes offered by Baldwin: 5300 259 EJL for 3/4" thick doors and 5300 262 EJL for 1-1/8" thick doors.

Baldwin 5300.EFLS Polished Chrome Extended Full Lip Strike for Thick Doors
The Baldwin 5300.EFLS is designed to work with the wood doors that are thicker than 3/4 inches, or those built with a stile and rail construction. This full lip strike offers a wider surface area and more support for larger doors. Measuring 3-5/8 inches by 1-7/16 inches, this door closer comes in a polished chrome finish, and has a 1-inch bore.
Extended full lip strikes feature the same attractive design and Long lasting durability as the full lip strikes, with more surface contact. The extended full lip strike covers the entire edge of the door.
CRL Baldwin Full Lip Strikes extend the full lip of the strike plate by 3 1/2-inch (88 millimeter) for use on thicker doors where the door thickness is less than the door frame thickness. This extended style strike securely fastens to an existing frame, and has a supporting roller that makes it possible to install without removing the striker from the wall. This model features a highly polished, full sweep polished chrome finish that will coordinate with contemporary decor.
