It is designed to replace Protech controls with a new control for Ruud and Rheem packaged rooftop air conditioning units. The ECO Safety Control maintains the Digital Thermostat for precise temperature control, while providing added protection in case of a compressor relay overload or short circuit. It features an LED indicator that alerts the homeowner to compressor relay trips. It also allows the option to set point adjustments on maintenance defrost and emergency heat, which provide added energy savings.

The RHEEM 175646/Protech - ECO Safety Control- /Ruud/Protech is a gas valve that has been designed for compatibility with selected RHEEM, Ruud, and Protech installations. The main advantage of this gas valve is that it assists in reducing unnecessary room occupancy heat loss by continuously monitoring the indoor air temperature and only energizing the outdoor fan motor when conditions are appropriate. It utilizes an integrated differential pressure switch that turns off the vent fan if the indoor air temperature reaches a set point. This can save up to $30 per month on your energy bill!
