This is a brand new aftermarket Ignition Control Module (ICM) for Rheem gas furnaces. It is used to control the ignition of the Pilot flame.

A defective Ignition Control Module will not be detected by the RHEEM Pilot Light protection. The ignition control module may cause intermittent starting of the water heater.

The Ignition Control Module is a replacement for the following part numbers: Rheem 171103, 171104, 171144, 17116A, 17189A. This part is responsible for the ignition spark and certain aspects of the ignition such as flame sense.
