The Kwikset 83279 is a replacement cylinder for door handles. It is gold plated for corrosion resistance and comes with an integrated latch. This cylinder is designed for use with locks knobs or levers only.

Kwikset's Smart Cylinder allows for a variety of Smart, Key and Traditional options. The cylinder fits all Kwikset devices for it is not just a base lever, but also an entrance knob that comes with three different length settings and 6 two-way locking options. A variety of finishes and accessories are available to make the home look beautiful from the front door to back.

Kwikset Gold Smart Cylinder is for contemporary style lever handle and knobsets used in residential applications. It features the patent-pending AutoKey buttonless technology and ROLLLOSE locking mechanism allows user to select one of three modes: automatic locking, automatic “privacy” locking which allows cylinder to be turned without locking, or key control. The Smart Cylinder works with all Kwikset Signature and Smart Key deadbolts.
