This White-Rodgers 14456 General Purpose Relays SPNO 120VAC Enclosed Fan Relay is used to control a 120VAC fan with three-wire; one common wire and one normally closed (NC) and one normally open (NO) wire. When the common wire is connected to power, the NC wire will be activated and the relay will close, activating the NC contact of the relay. The NO contact of the relay will be activated when the coil is de-energized. This device can control single or multi-speed fans, depending on how you configure it.

The White-Rodgers 14456 is a general purpose, power controlled relay for switching 120VAC loads (e.g., fans). A coil voltage of 50/60 Hz is required, and the coil current rating is 5A at 240VAC. The contact rating is 1A at 120VAC and the switch rating is 10A at 120VAC. It has an open frame with a PC board, and it has sealed connectors within the PC board. It contacts will close when energized, it can be used to cut off power supply to motors and other electrical devices when use with thermostats or time switches.
