This product is a Dummy Trim for use with certain KwikSet Door Handles.

Dummy trim for special or decorative trim installations. Cover exposed latch-side cylinder receptacle. For use with backset locksets and case mounted latches.

Wellness Club Satin Finish Privacy Collection Mortise Cylinder with Dummy Trim is ideal for use on exterior doors, patio and sliding glass doors that do not have a traditional lock installed.

The 973 allows for greater flexibility in installation. They can be surface mounted with the use of a trim kit or coupled with a door closer. The 973 is also available in an ADA compliant version.

I saw a similar handle that was selling for over $1000 at a retail store. I compared it to the Kwikset trim and they are identical! Not only is this handle the same, but so long as the trim works, it is cheaper by far. I'm very happy with my purchase here on Amazon!
