The ASCO 8215A40 is a normally closed, solenoid-operated, direct-acting gas valve. It has a 316 stainless steel frame and body with hard brass seat. The 3""N/C model is 100% duty with 0 duty cycle movement. The Buna-N diaphragm has a leak rate of 1 PSI at 75 PSIG. The valve is rated for natural gas service only. Boxed in quantities of 4 and made in the U.S.A.
The 3" N/C normally closed gas valve has internal shut-off mechanism for gas supply on a low or no gas pressure. Manual override is achieved by tilting the handle upward. Positive shut-off, with built in air purge and drain with optional drain regulator kit #8216A22.
