The ASCO SC8238T405-24VDC 1/2 2-Way NC 24vdc is a 2-way solenoid valve. The solenoid operated valve energizes when 120VAC is applied to its coil, causing the valve to open. When the coil is deenergized, the spring force closes the valve. To accommodate both normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO) applications, two coils are available for this series of solenoid valves: an NC coil with a red-capped terminal and an NO coil with a blue-capped terminal.
