The K3A552U is a direct acting, spring-loaded valve that shuts off the flow of gas under pressure without the use of an external power source. The valve normally remains closed until pressure above it exceeds the set pressure, at which time it opens to relieve excess pressure in the line. A locking pin allows this valve to be left open in an emergency. This valve is intended for use on fuel gas lines to control gas flow and shut off or regulate pressure in residential and commercial applications where a fast-acting, direct acting gas shutoff is required.
