The Variable Pitch Sheave 5/8"Bore, 3.15 Groove, Cast Iron, 1 Groove, Finished Bore, for 3L, 4L or A, 5L or B Section Belts allow the belt to match the pulley diameter. This feature can help to compensate for misalignment and to distribute belt tension more evenly. The belts can also be compensated with a sheave which is oval or rectangular in shape.

Browning Automotive's standard C.I.Sheave is constructed of cast iron with five tapered roller bearings. All roller bearings are housed in a removable brass cup for easy maintenance and packing. Both the inner and outer race are recessed to allow room for the roller bearings during assembly

This sheave is built to fit 3L, 4L and A-B belt and 5L and B-B belt. It fits a cast iron drum with an OD of 4.25" and a 2.47" bore (12 mm and 60 mm),it features a Black Oxide finish,with a rating of 6000 lbs.,and comes with a stainless steel keyway.

This Item is an aftermarket replacement for a sheave found on a wide variety of belt driven devices and is made of cast iron. This particular sheave has one groove and one diameter 12" arcs. It accepts belts up to 1/2" material.

Used with an Accu-Trac 3/8" V-Belt, this Browning Variable Pitch Sheave will allow you to change the cable pitch in the field. 6 position settings allow a range of 0"pitch to 3"pitch from stock factory setting of 1/3"pitch. This sheave is used on rotary log splitters or any drive equipment that requires changing the cable pitch and cord length.
