The Honeywell 20K1F-3100 NTC Stainless Steel Button Sensor is a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) thermistor. NTC thermistors have reverse polarity characteristics and electrical resistance that increases as temperature increases from 0 degrees Celsius to 100 degrees Celsius. The property makes the PTC thermistor an effective type of over-temperature protection device.
