The 50 amp 5/40 MFD Parallel Capacitor is an electronic capacitor that provides electric power factor correction (EPC) for 60 Hz single-phase electric motors. It is UL listed for indoor use, and is designed to be mounted vertically in a panelboard. These capacitors offer a parallel configuration that will add 5% KVA capacity to the system, and can replace or add to an existing capacitor when motors or motors loads increase.
