The Inducer Assembly is used on Carrier 50TMT Condensing Unit product line that uses a coil to heat and cool air. The assembly includes the motor assembly, fan blades, and the capacitor.
The Inducer Assembly, manufactured by Carrier Corporation, is used in Gas Furnaces. The Inducer Assembly works with a rotating inducer wheel to draw combustion air through the furnace and direct it into the gas valve.
The primary function of the Inducer Assembly is to force the air stream through the burner tube so that these components will heat the combustion products to cause ignition. This Air Stream comes from an external source most commonly supplied by a fan located in the furnace blower compartment. The Inducer Assembly assembly includes following components: Blower Wheel (Includes fan blade and hub), Inducer Guide Vane Assembly, Rotor Assembly, Strainer/Vane Plate Assembly, Spring Frame Assembly, and Cooling Fan Blade.

Inducer Assemblies - Direct Drive
The Carrier Inducer Assembly is built for the Carrier Air Conditioner models with attached evaporator coils. It includes a carousel driven by air current from outside.
The Inducer Assembly includes the following components: inducer fan, temperature sensor, blade bracket, and motor. Used in combination with these components is a variable frequency drive. The variable frequency drive uses a phase converter to provide a specific proportion of power to the motor as needed. The combination of these parts creates an induction motor that is highly efficient and quiet when operating.
