To qualify for warranty coverage for new Carrier gas furnaces equipped with the Flame Retainer, contact a CARRIER representative to schedule a Flame Retainer replacement. If your furnace's serial number is 1252196 or higher, then you should replace the Flame Retainer prior to calling for service.

The Carrier Flame Retainer 50DK501892 helps protect the burner from clogs and blockages.

The Carrier Flame Retainer is a fire safety product that installs in the air handler ductwork and holds the top of the lint filter in place to prevent fire or lint from entering into the air supply.

This Carrier flame retainer fits the bottom of the split system air handler. This flame retainer measures approximately 9-3/16" wide x 15-5/8" high x 1-1/2" deep.

The Carrier Flame Retainer allows for safe, easy, and complete baseboard heater maintenance. Designed to be used under gas, oil, and electric heaters the Flame Retainer is made of sturdy materials to keep your home safe.
