It is used in wall-type electric heaters that have a ceramic sheath. It prevents electric leakage from the heating appliance due to the breakdown of its ceramic sheath
This Carrier Fusible Plug EK02JA203 is a replacement plug for use with the AC coil. This model is for use with gas furnace models only, and will not work on air conditioners. For fusible plugs that work with Air Conditioners, please look under Category C in our Air Conditioner Parts Department.
Our Fusible Plug is UL tested and fully compatible with both Nema 5-15P and National Electrical Code-compliant configurations. This fusible plug has a ceramic housing, has been arc-tested at 10,000 Amps, and features an aluminum alloy crimp boot.
