The CarrierHT32BH948 crankcase heater effectively prevents your mower deck from frost buildup on the underside of a tarp, and other low parts of the engine. The heat element is secured to the air filter rack with a bracket that is riveted to the element & rack with four screws.

This crankcase heater is designed to help prevent cooling system freeze-ups, and provide maximum protection for engines in cold weather. The heater has a 1/4 in. Mounted in the crankcase, the heat from the combustion chamber is transferred to a tank of Freon. The result is lower starting amp draw, quicker warm-up times, reduced wear on the compressor motor and longer compressor life expectancy.
