This Rheem Cavity Cover is a component of the Rheem Series X/XR high pressure gas water heater. This cover sits above the burner assembly and below the water heater. It is designed to bracket the metal part of the water heater tank directly to the wall or floor so that there are no gaps in the wall. This Rheem Cavity Cover also comes with an adjustable mounting bracket that mounts directly to a stud in any wall and allows for easy adjustment up/down of the water heater depending on how far the wall or ceiling is from where it is mounted.
