Simple and compact, the Condensate Heater - 115V for Traulsen - Part# 329-21611-00 provides an economical way to prevent water from freezing inside the condenser of your Traulsen/True refrigeration equipment.

The condensate heater is designed to be utilized with the Boiler Master series of portable steam units by Traulsen. The part #329-21611-00 is an "A" type standard single phase, 60 Hz, 115 volt.

The Condensate Heater is for use with Traulsen's Hot Food Tables when used in conjunction with the Evaporator Cooler. The Condensate Heater may be mounted to the floor under the drain plug of the Evaporator Cooler.

The condensate Heater is a 115V, single phase, prime, vertical mounted unit. The condensate heater provides a non-drip method of removing the moisture from the air during the defrost cycle. In the defrost cycle, as air is pulled from the freezer, it passes through a filter and then through this condensate heater. As the air passes through the filter and then through this condensate heater, any water that may be in the air will turn to steam and drip back into a pan for removal. This drop of water never makes its way to your floor.

This condensate heater can help prevent damage to your equipment, plus it helps eliminate the need for daily pump-outs. The durable stainless steel construction meets NSF standards to ensure that harmful bacteria are not introduced into your food supply. This vented condensate pump-out heater is safe for use with direct heat applications and it is ideally sized for 1/3- to 1/2- plug centers to fit standard 4" & 6" flanges.

The Condensate Heater is designed to prevent the accumulation of humidity which occurs when steam is condensed by cool water or ice in food service walk-ins or freezers.

In refrigerated food service applications, ice and frost form on the evaporator plate surfaces, reducing their ability to cool. This phenomenon is called "frosting," or "cold trap" formation. Frost reduces the transfer of heat from the evaporator plates to ambient air, requiring additional defrost cycles which are inefficient, use large amounts of energy and increase cooling-system operating cost. Condensing heating elements are installed in this unit to prevent frosting by redistributing temperature throughout the cabinet.

Boilers, chillers or other equipment in food processing plants are always well protected against condensation when designed correctly. When water vapor in the interior of the condensing unit contacts the cold surfaces of tubes, plates or evaporators, it changes phase from vapor to liquid. Condensate accumulation in the tube sets up conditions for corrosion. Dew Formation - Dew formation on external cold walls just below condensation temperature will cause cooling to stop, reduce absorption capacity and increase tubing pressure drop.
