The Corporate HKR-10 electric heat kit is used to transform a driven heating plant into a central heating plant. Often called "canned heat" or packaged boilers, the heaters are compact and self-contained, designed to fit in tight spaces. Central plants provide several major benefits compared to traditional direct-fired heating plants: no need for combustion air--the room air is used; no part of the piping must be temperature-controlled; a simple forced ventilation system is used; and the plant can be up and running in a day.

The HKR electric heating kits are designed for high altitude outdoor applications, or moderate basement locations that utilize a forced air furnace and all electric hot water system. Heat is generated by the resistance elements wound around a heavy-duty cadmium plated steel core, which are encapsulated in a glass fiber reinforced enclosure. On/Off operation is accomplished with a normally closed push button momentary contact switch, or an optional thermostat and manual reset thermal limit controls.

The HKR-10 is a small, portable heater that can be used to raise the temperature of any room up to 300 sq ft by one degree. Use it in the shop to help warm up "chilly" mornings or cool down hot summer days. It's even more economical, requiring only 6 kilowatt hours of electricity to heat a 10 sq ft room, compared to 1 kWh for your average space heater. The HSG-13 is capable of warming up a total area of approximately 300 sq ft.
