This attractive brass mail slot measures 13-1/8 x 3-5/8" overall, with a 6-1/2" deep return. It is designed to fit flush to the doorframe without having to bore out studs. The opening of the slot is 2-3/4" wide by 6-1/2" high. The metal sheet must be at least 1/16" thick, 3/32" thick, or 1/8" thick.

The Deluxe Brass Mounting Flange - US10B is used for mounting Postal Slots to 1/4"(6 mm) doors.
