Radiant Sensor for Tube Heater

The Detroit Radiant TP-64 Radiant Sensor for TP Series Tube Heaters includes a 2" NPT threaded probe with cap and washer that fits into the heating tube to give accurate readings of the TPI back-up sensor. The sensor is rated for 250°F (121°C) and has a 300 Ohms resistance at 70°F (21°C). Before purchasing, please consult the owner's manual on proper use of this sensor.

The Detroit Radiant sensor replaces the existing service door on a tube heater for electric radiant heat. This device senses changes in room temperature and will automatically turn on the heater when needed. Ideal for home or business, it features a lightweight aluminum case, adjustable cut-off temperature, and includes one 3' (914mm) long cable (extension cables sold separately).

Add this radiant sensor to your existing tube heater to provide more even surface temperatures for all of your cooking needs. It's diameter is 2 in. and can be installed easily into the existing 2-inch hole of most tube heaters. Not compatible with Charbroil infrared systems.

The Detroit Radiant TP-64 radiant sensor helps you to keep the temperature in your automotive shop, safety facility or machine plant within a safe range, regardless of the type of heat source used. It prevents cold spots and provides fast thermal recovery. This item is a direct replacement for the TM1, TM2 and S-300 models and is compatible with new and existing Detroit Tube Heaters.

Radiant sensors (sometimes called a photo eye) are used to measure the infrared energy emitted by a heating element located in your floor or wall. The tube heater controls adjust the output of the element so that it is operating at your desired set point. This reduces wasted energy. Use this sensor if you have a Detroit Radiant Tube Heater with heat zones where you want to control more than one zone at a time.
