Devcon Liquid Weld 260 is a liquid release agent designed to prevent epoxy and urethane adhesives from sticking to your hands, tools, and work area. This simple step should be done before every project, since even taking the time to wash before you start can be sufficient for epoxy to permanently stick. Whether you are working with epoxies, foams, urethanes or even fiberglass cloth and bonding agents, Devcon Liquid release will aid in your projects success.

Devcon Liquid Release Agent has been used in the aerospace industry for 50 years is a great solution to leveling epoxies and urethanes prior to sanding or finishing. Devcon LR is AP non-toxic and biodegradable, dries clear with no residue.

Liquid Release is specially formulated to help prevent surface bonding and peeling of epoxy & urethane materials. It can be used during fabrication and application of these materials, or after installation. This greatly reduces the risk of unplanned removal, saving significant time and money.

This product will provide a protective coating which will allow epoxy or urethane paints to be removed after processing with a devcon wipe-off solution. The devcon liquid release is not required to prepare bare metal prior to application of these coatings nor to process them. However, it will provide a protective coating in the event you need to touch up the surface during the life of the coating.

Use the Devcon 245-11820 brush to apply Liquid Release Agent to wooden and composite materials before bonding with Devcon epoxies. The brush is flexible for use in curved or dip areas. It has a white polypropylene handle for easy identification, and stiff nylon bristles that conform well to surfaces.

Liquid release agents are used to thoroughly wet out or apply a fine film of liquid to a surface before applying a coating, enamel or paint. Because it is rheostatically mixed and buffered during production, Devcon adhere to ASTM specification D-4173. It is designed for use in spray, brush and dip applications as well as dip & roll. It can be applied over substrates including concrete, metals and plastics.  It is recommended that you conduct a 24-hour compatibility test prior to using an adhesion promoter on any new surface.
