This is a tension relief cord assembly with a non-detented release rod. The assembly is designed for the purpose of relieving tension in the blanket and wire. The rod is inserted into the machine on top of the wire conveying system and rests on top of the take-up reel assembly. When the dwell control mechanism requires additional tension, it pushes down on the rod and applies more tension to the blanket through its anchor points.
